Cranberry Sauce

Fresh & Tart Cranberries



INGREDIENTS

  • 1 bag fresh cranberries

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 orange

  • 1/4 cup amaretto or orange liquor

  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh nutmeg

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)


RECIPE

  1. Boil water, sugar & cranberries in a medium saucepan.

  2. Turn down to low & cook until cranberries start to breakdown.

  3. Add the juice & zest of the orange & continue cooking until the sauce starts to thicken.

  4. Remove from heat & stir in the liquor, a few grates of nutmeg & pecans.
