Tuna Tartare

That 15-minute tuna tartare recipe

INGREDIENTS

Cake

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon unseasoned rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon wasabi paste

  • 3/4 teaspoon Asian sesame oil

  • 8 ounces sushi-quality ahi tuna steak

  • 1 medium-sized avocado

  • 1 cup cubbed Persian cucumber

  • 1 green onion

  • Toasted sesame seeds


RECIPE

  1. Cut tuna & avocado into 1/3-inch cubes. Cut cucumber into 1/4-inch cubes.

  2. Whisk soy sauce, unseasoned rice vinegar, lemon juice, wasabi paste & Asian sesame oil in a medium bowl until blended.

  3. Mix together tuna, avocado & cucumbers.

  4. Slowly stir in soy sauce mixture until gently coated.

  5. Spoon the tartare into a bowl & sprinkle with sesame seeds to finish.
